Having wheel alignment done today turned into a bad day....
Well I have had different day today, took the disco into pro tyre today in Exeter to have the wheel alignment.
I was in the waiting room and we all heard a big bang, and the ramp had collapsed on a corner! Just missing the guy about to go under it! Disco stayed on it just.
As it was so dangerous they had to call the fire service. And then all this!
Then after cutting the ramp and two forklifts and 6hours later, it was down.
Disco is still there and going to landrover for full check over and new rear bumper as they scratched on forklift getting it down and alignment.
Of course all this is free of charge!
The bad thing about all this, is the ramp was serviced and signed off a week ago!
Thank god the guy is ok!
Now I have this to drive.

Crazy! At least nobody was hurt - lucky Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
I would Reply:
"Duratrac"

Eeek, glad nobody was hurt as you don't want to keep a D3 when it has taken a life!
Good news that it is getting a full check by a dealer. The scratches are trivia but damage underneath can change the geometry to the point that a write-off is required.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Good job no one was underneath
Mines going to need alignment soon once steering arms and track rods are replaced, think i'll wait a bit until the thoughts of this happening to mine have disappeared from my mind

This is why I said I wanted the dealer to check it and no one else! Hopefully all is fine, but you never know with it being dropped down like this!
Like I said, just glad the guy is fine!

Glad nobody was hurt and that it seems to be being dealt with in the proper way.

Doesn't say much for the garages ramp service, the collars must have sheared off as this just shouldn't have happened.
Can't see how anything underneath your D3 will be damaged as it wasn't that extreme.

That's not exactly a 'zero tolerance' attitude to accident prevention.
I'd pity the fool that used those words at shift handover in JLR.......
