Lovely Field Marshall, is it fitted with a cartridge start?

Sounds like hard work!!

Boring? , they're loving it Laughing

Here's my 6 cylinder Nuffield,

An older shot showing it complete;

And a shot taking last week topping the paddock. I've been tidying it up over the summer, respray etc and fitting the roll frame. Operational but currently waiting for lights, wings, badges to be fitted.

It probably weighs close on 3 tons, I just use ratchet straps too.

It's fitted with the BMC 6 cylinder variant, basically the truck version of the 3 and 4 cylinder ones fitted to the original 10/45 and 10/60's. Yeah, it'll scoot along at about 30 mph, mind you, the steering!!....makes a series Land Rovers steering seem like a precision job Wink

Yes, sometimes I use the Disco, sometimes this;

It's effortless towing with either.

Thanks Smile

Mind you, to have had that Field Marshall in the family for 60 years is a bit special. Looks very smart and they are a different.
