Air suspension question
In the owners manual it says one reason the air suspension may fail would be due to no gas. I raise and lower my car everytime I get in and out which could be around 20 times a day. Would I expect the gas to run out very soon and if I need to regas how expensive will this be
I thought the only gas in it was made up of nitrogen, oxygen and a few others; i.e air. (although with my mechanical knowledge, it could have all sorts of stuff being used that I don't know about)
I have been lowering and raising mine several times a day for 18months now and no such problems!

I have heard from one of the LR dealers that they are starting get concerned about the weight of, and modifications required at installation, of the ARB bull bar. I have heard... that they are even starting to dishonour warranty around air suspension problems if an ARB bar is fitted at some dealers... claims that the repositioning and ? of the air lines when installing the ARB bar, and the weight of the bar might be causing issues...
Now - this is just what I've heard... It's hard to imagine that the extra ? 30-50kg ? of the bar would cause the problems - does that mean they won't honour warranty if I gain an extra 50kg (I know that my wife won't honour any warranty!) and make the air suspension work harder???
Just some thoughts - anyone else heard of problems?

my front suspension is lower than the rear, slower to raise and by not as much, very little difference between off road and extended mode but super extended more obvious.
Is it the bar or just normal?
I bought mine new with the ARB bar thrugh the dealer so they wouldn't want to try to knock back a warranty.

That's true - the LR winch plus cradle etc must weigh at least as much.
But yes - I've also heard that LR won't fit aftermarket accessories themselves prior to delivery either...

The LR winch kit weighs around 100KG. I think the engine itself, for example, is only around 250KG, and the winch/bar are a good bit forward of the front wheels, so the load would be greater on the front suspension.IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Look in the owner's manual. There is a specific limit for front and rear axle weights. I have an ARB bar and a 9000lb Magnum winch and my front axle is still 200kg under the maximum weight with me in the vehicle. I also have a second battery under the bonnet.
So long as you do not exceed this weight, Land Rover would have no legal right to deny warranty claims. I don't see what the issue is. It takes very little air pressure to carry substantial amounts of weight. With the air bag suspension I had installed in my Pajero it took just 15 psi to raise the suspension to the same height as it was before I hitched up my camper trailer - which exerts 250Kg of downward pressure on the drawbar.
I would hate to think that Land Rover have instructed their stealers to deny these claims....I got away from buying Mitsubishi vehicles because of the continual fight I had every time a warranty issue came up.D4: Expedition Rack, 104 Litre Long Range Tank, Raised Air Intake
