| Power steering pump end float |

Can anybody tell me whether there is meant to be any end float on the power steering pump pulley
There is a slight rumbling noise on idle and I thought it may be a tensioner on the way out but they seem Ok, if I take the tension off the aux belt I can move the power steering pump pulley in and out what seems to be a couple of mm.
As far as I can tell without taking the viscous fan off there is no sideways movement and the steering is fine. I will try and get the fan off tomorrow and have a proper look.
