Can you syphon fuel from a Discovery 4??
Hi
I wondering if you can syphon fuel out of a Discovery?
Reason being, I'm away at the moment but both my wife's and my Discovery both had there fuel flap opened although both vehicles were locked up.
It appears no fuel has gone so I'm wondering if it's possible or not.
The other possibility is that something has been put into the fuel tanks!!
Thanks in advance for any advice given

I don't think you can siphon from them. ISTR the US models don't even have a locking filler cover.
I believe that you can - I saw a misfuelled diesel Disco3 on a forecourt & I'm pretty sure they were syphoning petrol from its tank. I assume the D4 is the same?
NJSSAm I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

not easy.
I couldn't syphon the fuel out of my D3 tank when I stripped it down. had to disconnect the filler pipe and even then I couldnt get it all outDuncan

I was under the impression that there is a mesh in the filler neck so a tube won't go down. Might be wrong, it has been known.
As for on the D4, no idea as well out of my paygrade.
