Front wheels are black.
Apologies if this is dealt with somewhere else but I couldn't find it. We've just had both front bearings replaced on a Disco 3 (90,000 miles) along with the trackrod ends. Since that the front wheels are black; not just your standard road dirt black. The difference between the front and rear wheels is stark. Is it a coincidence, is it a problem, who knows? Well, hopefully someone out there does.
Also the steering wheel has started juddering around 60mph. Honestly, owning this thing is like being in an abusive relationship; if the Police came to take her away I'd be there crying "Leave her alone, she didn't mean it, I know she can change". This website should be sponsored by Relate. All advice etc very gratefully received.
Cheers

1. Check wheel bolts are all tight and haven't come loose
2. Check the installation and ensure everything feels tight under there after bearing replacement
3. Get wheels rebalanced - may be a weight dropped off or dislodged during works
4. I have far less trouble with the D3 than the wife.... MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Hi
Not unusual for the fronts to get covered with more carbon deposits than the rears as they do more of the work.
If there is more now than before it may be that when the calipers where taken off and the pistons pushed back to release them, as part of the job to fit the new hubs, they were freed up and are performing better than before, hence the increased ware in the pads and deposits on the wheels.

With the shuddering it could well be a binding caliper. Could be nothing to do with the work done.

Your getting better Derek. Won't be long until they let you out with your own screwdriver

I was wielding a screwdriver this morning to try and find the fuse puller I dropped yesterday. Positively techie, for me!!
