Have you addressed the oil temp sensor issue?

hi

we will handle to oil temp sensor today.

I read that the HP fuel pump is controllable, can you tell what "tells" the pump the correct pressure?
ie what are the inputs for it?
(from LR papers: Pressure is controllable, to the optimum level for smooth operation, up to 1650 bar)

also, is the a test procedure to the HP pump and feeding pump we can follow?

thx

The HP output targets and regulates volume rather than pressure although clearly they are closely linked. The pump should produce 1600bar by 1500 rpm. Beyond this rpm the excess pressure is dumped and returned.

The volume is controlled by the ECM via a solenoid controlled valve. If the connector is removed or there is a open circuit the valve will close and stop the engine from running. I'm not sure how easy the connector is to back-probe given the access in that area.

Thumbs Up

all conectors are fitted as it should.

readings we get while cranking:

Fuel rail pressure: 384Kpa (is it 3840Kpa and MSV-2 is dropping a 0?)
Pressure control valve: 29.2%
Volume control valve: 39.7%

@skid57 - we replaced the injectors and that solved the problems.

Hi skid57

Hi, I have an exact same problem with my car cutting out (some relays switch on and off a couple of times after switching on the engine, then remain off) and the same fault codes. Did you find a cure?

Hi. I took it to many "specialists" but in the end went to main dealership!
I pleaded poverty and to be honest they were fantastic. They flashed the ecu and job done! £155 later picked up the car and no problems since. Only thing was I lost my remap which my mate put back 2 days later. Hope this helps! Thumbs Up
