smoke from black exuast disco3 deisel auto

I have recently notice,that I have black smoke coming from exhaust when going uphill and automatic changes gear,can anyone advise.Thanks in advance,

Start with the intercooler hose that runs from the intake manifold to the bottom of the intercooler, they can deteriorate internally and the rubber will split, this can be a cause of the black smoke.
