Is there anywhere you can find out the build specification of a vehicle if you know the VIN number.
I'm buying a nice 2011 D4 HSE and wondered if I could find out exactly what was built-in at the factory.

O.K some great info there, but possibly posing more questions.
First off. the listing states Special Pack E. Anyone know what that might entail.
Secondly, one of the update messages was : DVD138_08_V180 - (LR) SDD software update DVD138_08 release note
Again, any ideas ?

I've got "Special Value Pack E" on my list, but I've no idea what it is. A search on Google shows others have it, but they've no idea what it is either.
Same with the DVD stuff (could be entertainment) - it will probably be a software update that the dealer would do when it's in for its service?
