Discovery 4 Black Design Pack

I've just ordered up a new Disco 4 HSE in Firenze Red to which I'm adding 20" black turned alloys, and privacy glass as well as a few other goodies.

The Black Design Pack initially seemed a bit steep at around £2k, as I have a few weeks to confirm and having thought about it a bit more, I'm reconsidering this.

Has anybody ordered this option before. and whats the thoughts on it?

I have it on my Fuji white D4. Looks great, the wheels are very impressive, as are the black letters front and rear. AndrewS has red with black design too.

Reckon you could do it yourself for half that if not less.
Wheels are a rip off IMO, they take £1000 wheels and tyres away and charge an extra £1000 for some different ones (Evoke wheels?)
Buy the parts or spray grill etc, replace existing for new, sell existing. I'm sure that would work out considerable cheaper but you'd have some mild hassle.
I reckon the door handles and mirrors look a bit cack (looks ok on white though) but the black wheels and grill are uber cool Thumbs Up
(Mine is Firenze too but standard at the moment)
 Welcome "Lola" Smile

I had thought the same myself but with the hours being worked at the moment I really wonder if i'd ever get the time to get round to it. I'm already getting earache from SHMBO over the TR6 restoration thats taken 2yrs so far Confused

When you come to sell it on, I reckon the genuine black pack will have a dividend over the DIY, but yes it is expensive, but then again, it is an expensive car, so if only the best will do............. Razz

How much is a black lettering set as a matter of interest?

Extended roof rails were on the car as were the wheels
I put on the grill and vents the rest is standard....I quite like the mirrors body-coloured so left them....it would cost very little to go the whole 9 yards (apart from the Doo or handles which are aridiculous price)

My own black pack too

MY12 19" alloys powder coated black £400
Front and side grilles from duckworths approximate £200 (can't remember exact)
I didn't sell the old grilles but could easily recoup £80+ I imagine
Matt black wrap on alloy strip on sidestep too as it was just too shiney £30
Would live to do the letters but scared ill never get em right again!
