It just keeps pulling. I've got a manual, and the only time you need to change gear is when you hit the rev limiter 8) I pulled into gaps on roundabouts I wouldn't even have considered before. I picked up my daughters and my 12 year old (with a no interest in cars) said "What's happened to the car - it's so fast?" Beat a Z3 over a bridge one way and chased a Porsche back the other - and kept up with it

Iain... over the next 20K miles, am I going to save money on filling the tank if I keep to the same driving style I currently have if I torq tune ?? Of course will only use the extra oomph when absolutely necessary
i.e. is there an MPG benefit of using the extra torque ?
Looking for a payback reason to do this ASAP rather than December.

Hate to say it....but -
TOLD YA SO!
all done over a beer or three too 8)
as a reminder, all 'Torq-tune' products are bespoke, each one is specific to the individual vehicle and will ( as DiscoStu has found out ) get the best out of it. It's not just pure numbers, the tune has been developed to not only pi$$ off BMW drivers but to improve the 'driveability', torque and most importantly, enjoyment of the vehicle
BTW, although LR products are the focus here, there's a long list of other vehicles that can benefit from the same procedure - including the Mini Diesel as far as i'm aware, no-one else can currently remap them 8)

probably - if you can overcome the urge to show other drivers your tailpipes
if your mpg is 25, with an average improvement of 10% you'll see 27.5 mpg. Fuel cost is currently circa £0.96 / litre (giving a cost per gallon of £4.32) so you'd spend £3456 doing 20k miles without the remap, £3142 with the remap - a saving of £314 assuming the fuel price stays the same...
Using the improved torque could give you better savings dependent upon load, road congestion, use of throttle etc. If you achieved 30mpg, then you would benefit by £16 (plus the cost of the remap) 31mpg would see £109 more in your beerbank account

Before the tune I was getting 18.1-18.4 mpg
I haven't driven far since, but I've been driving much faster than normal (as you can imagine ) and it's returning 20.3mpg (This is with MTR's, Expedition rack with 4 LR lamps, a recently filled tank, and an enormous tent in the boot). In comparison, after the first few miles from my last fill-up, I was getting 13.5mpg.
It's so responsive - 2nd gear, 2500rpm and throttle response is instant. And I mean pushed back in your seat instant Same in 3rd. Disco 5 HSE Lux
