Thanks sj9011, bet me to the reply but it helps to confirm the problem of the thinner D4 battery charge cable.

Cheers guys.

Sean, could I ask a small favour? Have you a photo of the battery in situ?

Shocked

It is worth tidying that up so that the higher amperage wiring and terminals is combed clear of the lower amperage stuff, support the relay with a bracket, secure the battery with a strap, protect the wires at risk of chafing with sacrificial tape or conduit and cover the battery terminals with insulators.

Doing the above should prevent an otherwise minor shunt from triggering a rather major fire.

Thumbs Up

Another small piece of advice which I have done on two installations is to put a sticker on your main battery cover and inside the housing notifying service oppo's or the emergency services that you have a second battery, where it is and how to disconnect it Thumbs Up

This is the Sticker I produce and supply with any of my DBS kits where the second battery is somewhere other than the engine bay.

Feel free to make a copy of it, for individual use ONLY.

Noted, the relay is tie wrapped (through the holder eye) to a bracket arm so cant go anywhere.

Cheers
