I couldn't give you a true honest opinion having only driven 40 miles but I can safely say that it hasn't caused me any great concern on the way home, it kicks in really quickly once you touch the accelerator, if you dislike it, turn it off, but I don't think I will be!!! ðŸ‘

I can honestly say the the stop/start is fine fella. A couple of quirks to get used to but after a short time you won't even notice it. What it does do though it occasionally just start on it's own if you're parked but with the ignition on. This was a bit of a shock the first time it happened but apparently its the car detecting voltage drop and ensuring that you won't be stranded with a flat battery My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

Can you guys enlighten me how does the switch off button works? Does it disable it completely for duration of one trip or is it disabled more permanently? How is maneuvering with that thing on like 3 way turns or something and most important how does it act off the tarmac?

The button works per ignition cycle i.e. you have to disable it every journey if thats what you want to do. Personally, I think it's unobtrusive even when doing a turn in the road. As soon as you're off the brake it starts! If it bugs you then you can turn it off. Alternatively, if you're waiting to turn across a main road for example and it cuts out when you stop and you want the engine running, just touch the throttle with the brake still on and it starts the engine. You could switch it off for off tarmac but tbh the couple of days I've done in mine it was that unobtrusive I didn't notice it. Overall, it IS a good system that allows a lower road tax bracket and slightly improves fuel efficiency. What's not to like? LOL
