Got cover until August, now 9 years old with 88k on the clock.
Haven't had to claim on WD for last three years so paid iro £1700 for nothing... You pays your money.......
Just been serviced and passed MOT so not likely to get anything out of WD before cover runs out. But looking highly likely that I won't get cover for next 12 months. As you slide down the banister of life

Just posted on another thread but get the 'lite' policy from WD for £135 per year.
Only covers you for a breakdown and only covers you for the thing that made you break down. However they cover you to 160,000 or 16 years.
I've just renewed today for my third year on this. Last two years they've replaced a wheel bearing on each side with no quibble (both times I was recovered)
My policy I negotiated with them has limit of £200 per hour and no betterment , so no wear and tear deductions. £50 xs.
Cant quibble with that, as my main fear is the engine, gearbox, etc causing a big failure. My car is a dec 55 (owned from new) with 145000 miles, so think this is a good deal. Don't know what I will do at 160,000 when it ceases to cover me, but worry about that then!TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)

Try Warrantywise...my 55 plate (early 06) with 110,000 is covered up to 12 years old I think with some level of decreasing cover.
Cost is £54 per month.

When I read Warranty Direct's small print about what they wouldn't cover on my 3 year old 75K disco, I decided to buy Premium Bonds instead.

Renewed a few days ago with WD but SecureCare. They weren't budging on anything. Main thing is WD cover wear & tear on items that are covered, like beatings. Will be up at the 130k limit for this policy when it expired then it's effectively engine & gearbox cover up to 160k miles, will consider if worth it or go it alone. Will jump that hurdle in 13 months.

That sounds good. I'm on 145,000 and only have engine, trans and gearbox cover till 160,000 paying about £500 p.a. I think.
Do you know if you can take the 'lite' policy in addition to major care?VR6 > 330D Touring > D3 HSE > !?XC90?!
bit late, but why not just get the lite. If one of the big things goes, you are left stranded anyway, so cover should kick in as long as you are recovered. I still have no betterment and main dealer rates (up to £200). You must have it serviced at VAT registered garage. I've had a bearing on each side for the last two years, so ahead anyway.
Reading the renewal policy yesterday and I'm covered to 175,000 miles!!TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)
