We have the Safari 7 Tentipi, with Frontier stove, its wonderful. Like A13x said quick to put up, and quick to pull down, no problem with ventilation you can even have a BBQ inside, or an open fire(without the floor)Mantec sump guard.
Prospeed tree slider/steps.
Flack duel battery system.
18"Compomotive/AT3 tyres
Brembo 4pot front brakes

We have a Vango Icarus 600
It's a cheap tent, it's polyester but it's been great for 4 years we have been using it in the UK and France.
Family of 4 and a big daft Labrador
Big enough and packs small enough and easily goes in the Disco, reckon it's not a bad place to start.
This was this weekend

(Yes the fridge did cost a lot more than the tent but cold beer is very important )

We've got a Vango Eternity 600 Airbeam, no poles just pumps up(I get the kids to do it), it's got 3 separate sleeping rooms and enough room for loads of people to sit around in even if it's raining.
The bag is pretty big though.
There's a similar one on ebay at the moment buy it now £420 in Stroud Gloucestershire item eBay Item No. 171370633272IID PRO

Have to agree with Thorsten....Karsten tents all the way! Just need to win the lottery now!
As they say... "When you buy quality, you only cry once!"
We have 4 & have a Vango Tigris 800 (tunnel tent), kids all sleep at one end, we're at the other & a nice large area in the middle so they can play if it's not too good outside.
I've always gone for something with 3 doors - that way you're not stuck if wind/rain coming from one direction, also use ours with a side porch (keep the crappy stuff in & an Coleman Canopy - somewhere to sit in the eve or kids to eat & not getting the tent full of food.
Hydrostatic Head is one thing to look out for, the bigger the number the better (essentially how much water at a given pressure can it take before it stops being waterproof).
Some of the newer tents doors can be sloped back quite a bit from the bottom to the top = water ingress when opening door - not the best design idea.
Intergrated groundsheet a must in my opion.
Get a Footprint/Floorsaver - easier to clean than a whole tent.
Shop around.
Avoid "pitch inner 1st" tents, never the easiest to put up alone & two lots of things to get dry (inner & outer)Paul.

Ahh,inner city camping in Glasgow.....that takes me back.....
Wife got her revenge, she bought a single occupancy pile of sh*t from Tesco for me to sleep in.....
We have since purchased a Vango Icarus 600 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vango-TEGICARUSM26...B0061JMFLG
It's a pretty good bit of kit,and dare I say that after 2 trips to the fantastic Boe Rigg campsite near Kielder Forest last autumn,it is getting more "bearable" "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

The Icarus is a good bit of kit, did you get the extension as well - makes life a lot easier. Mind i think i've just done a deal on an RV5 & Tagalong, will know more on Wed, so there may be a nice Vango tunnel tent up for grabs.

Haven't found the need for the extension so far....it's a pretty big tent as it is for our requirements......
Another member borrowed it last week to go to Kielder..... his 9 year-old spent all night throwing up,it was a howling gale and chucking it down.....he retired to the Disco thoroughly soaked and spent the coldest most miserable night of his life.......he says I have to shoot him if he looks like he's considering going camping again "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
