Towing chain connection points

I have recently acquired a 23' caravan and had first tow of it yesterday. when it came time to connect chains I pondered whether the single eye hook between the electrical sockets or the two smaller holes beneather where the tow hitch receiver attaches are the 'right' place to shackle the chains on.

Do any of you guys have any tips on which point to attach chains - either would work but not sure on users experience.

Regards

Pete

The holes either side of the tow hitch mounting point are designed for breakaway cables etc so would be fine there. The centre between the towing electrics is the cars recovery point, so if you are worried about strength, then use that. Thumbs Up
