+1 for not needing it. The D3 benefitted hugely from a BAS remap, made it the car it should have been, as many on here have said. The D4 is plenty quick and powerful enough for most IMHO. Handles better too! Why risk being denied warranty cover ? Car looks awesome btw

I agree. I had my D3 re-mapped as soon as it had done 1,000 miles. Never felt it needed it on my D4's.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

If I compare with my 2011 Discovery, the 2014 model is much more reactive and , thanks to the 8-speed box, seems to be quieter and more powerful.
+11 bhp may not be the only reason, but a lot of things seeme to have been changed :
different door-slam sound (sounds higher quality), higher on suspension @normal height speed (I parked my '11 model year close to the new 2014 model year and the 2014 one was approx. 2cm higher !!!)
Sound from the radio (Meridian surround) is of much better quality and driving sensations are better.
I forgot, MPG also improved (approx. 10%)

You're right, this colour is so special! It can't even be caught bij camera, you need to see it in real life!

@cactus
Does your car have the beige interior and could you place some pictures of it?
Thanks

No problem.
Interior is with Arabica seats. I prefered them to the beige (that I had on my '11 model Year D4).
I also dropped wood trim for Meteoor. It gives a more modern touch inside.
Sorry for sun reflects !

Thanks!
Looks great with the exterior color,
unfortunantly I was out of budget and have the standard leather, in which arabica leather was not an option..
since I do not like the black interior (sorry guys) I choose the beige
Funny, in my SE I had meteoor and I like the wood trim better in combination with the Havana and beige leather
BTW:
Are your front windows also extra tinted? They look darker then the front windscreen?

I had the wood trim with the beige interior in my former Disco 4 (2011 model year) and I wanted some change.
To me (personal opinion) this color of wood seemed to "old fashioned" and meteor looked like a more modern look (matte grey + arabica leather).
... and I wanted some changes compared to the former Disco.

Cactus, do the seats have contrasting stitching, or is it the same colour as the leather?
Thanks in advance,
Ray

Hello Ray,
In fact .. yes ... there is a contrast between stitching and leather.
Stitching is like ... dark beige.
Well, let's see by yourself:
In my humble opinion, it looks great ... and the leather colour lasts much longer compared to the almond colour (always looked "filthy" in my former D4, especially with my kids at the back )

Hi Cactus,
Many thanks for the picture. It does look good with the contrasting stitch, and it helps me to decide between Arabica and Almond.
Thanks again,
Ray

2014 Evora S SportsRacer for him
