More compressor (not suspension) related questions |
|
I took delivery of a compressor last week (T-Max double barrel model) and plan on mounting this in the space behind the NSR trim panel, along with a receiver and air hose.
I'm thinking it would be useful to add a receiver, perhaps 2l in volume, complete with a pressure switch that will start the compressor once the pressure in the receiver dropped below 50 psi and stop it at 135psi (max pressure for the compressor is 150psi). I envisage leaving the receiver empty and the compressor disconnected from the battery until it's needed, at which point I would start the compressor and start building pressure in the receiver. That way I can change the fitting on the air hose to one like you see at garages, with a lever to allow air to flow on demand from the receiver and won't have to worry about turning the compressor on and off to regulate flow/pressure to tyres, air jacks etc.
Can anyone point me at any useful websites for the supply of a suitable receiver, switches, hose etc? Any advice appreciated.
Ta!

Lovely job, thanks Chris .
Have got the nod to do Morocco 2008 with a mate of mine, so starting the slow buildup of kit I'll be needing to get the car ready. Long way to go yet...... but enjoying drawing up the shopping list 8) I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Are you doing 2008 as well then Chris? Not got the time to do it this year unfortunately. Hope to see you again before then, that's for sure. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
