Issue fueling D4, will only allow it to trickle in
Hi,
My D4 has suddenly decided that it won't let me fuel it at anything above a trickle (which irritates me and those waiting behind me to use the Fuel Pump). Every time I put the pump lever beyond about 1/4
of its possible travel (to get diesel in) the pump clicks off. Its almost as if there's an obstruction in the disco's fuel tank pipe.
I haven't tried putting Petrol into the Disco, but might something else have confused the anti-fuel device and now it won't let any fuel in......
Can anyone through any light or assistance on curing this.
Cheers,

has it got the thing fitted that stops you putting the wrong fuel in...if that's gone off you need to get the special tool out of the glove box to reset
Stupid question I know, but have you tried resetting the anti-petrol device with the yellow thingy??Cheers Ian

Not silly question, about the Yellow thingy, and probably the right solution...except... I don't know about the Yellow thingy (don't recall seeing one anywhere) and what I need to do to use the Yellow thingy.
So, can I have some guidance please (as I'm guessing this is likely the problem).
Thanks,

These are the instructions for using the yellow thingy
On both my D4's it has been in the lower glove box but I suppose it could be hiding where your jack goes or the other side Cheers Ian

Hi,
Found yellow thingy - was in the tool set.
Peered into the fuel pipe and can see a yellow flap across it
Tried following pictorial instructions wiggling the yellow thingy - but not had any effect.
Can I have some written instructions, please, by someone who has done this in practice.
Thanks,
LJ Coffeecup

Success.
Thanks for the pointers.
All I did was stick it in and wiggle it about a bit (honestly) and it worked - suddenly caused all the doors to unlock at the same time as the flap in the pipe moved out of the way.
