My Dad got his D3 from new as a company car in 2005... retired in 2007 and bought the car from the company, kept it to 233,000 miles in Jan 2022 before passing it to me when he bought a second hand D4.
Think he still prefers the D3

So i think im deffo winning the award for longest kept from new now!
Just had it’s 10 year service (160k) but only done 108k now.
Its come back with a few advisories from the tech but overall he said it’s a really good car.
Going to need shortly.
- New discs and pads
- Propshaft centre bearing
- Inlet manifold is leaking
Also brake pipes are starting to show signs of corrosion.
Do i keep or is it finally time to move on??

Personally, keep it and get the bits sorted.
Unless there is something that leaps out as a replacement for the D4.
Cost of fixing that list will be a few months payments on a new car.
The D4 will have been paid off years ago.In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

Mine's done 260k without any engine overhaul work... plenty on here have done the same or more I think...
