Morning
I just had a D4 2009(59) delivered from an auction. Its a stolen recovered so problem is it came with no keys and the drivers window is down.
is there a way to close the window to secure my pride and joy whilst i sort the keys out?
I have access in the car, behind the drivers door card and bonnet if required.
Many Thanks

I took a connection from the +ve Terminal and tried to make contact with the motor winder plug but just sparks. I will try and connect both the +ve and -ve today.
Dont know why i though just a +ve connection would work? Maybe am just a Average Technical abilities if that!

I doubt you could just power the motor and make it work.
But you could detach the lift mechanism from the motor, raise it, pin it in place until you get the keys coded. Mike

Take the cable off the guides and motor, get the window up manually and then put the cable back in place??? Might work...

Thanks all
Did it manually. Just had to take the motor off and manually wind the wheel up and refitted the motor to hold it in place.

Bigcol66 - I haven't a clue how they took it. I just bought it off an auction as stolen and recovered. Maybe its security systems were not updated as i understand from some posts, the early D4's were prone to theft using scanners somehow. Thats why need to make sure get the Key fob with the updated security. Or they might have just stolen the keys and then the car. The plan now is to return it to its former glory.
Adigorn - No mate this will be a personal vehicle when its done up.

I think adigorn is referring to bigcols comment about how it was started
Not something that should be published I would say Lee
D3 TDV6 HSE, Bonatti Grey, 7 Seats, Dual Climate, Heated F&R Seats & Screen, Fog's , Auto lights & Wipers, SAT NAV, Harmon Kardon, Cruise, many rattles, occasional leak
D2 3.9 V8 supposed to be Green, was mainly rust. Gone but not forgotten.
