MY14 broken battery cover
Hello.
I opened the bonnet of our new MY14 Disco a week ago to peruse the engine bay when I saw this. The battery cover is broken ( forced down )and grommets look like they're in the wrong place
Isn't this somwthing that would be picked up when pre-delivery inspection takes place?
Not a big issue, I know.

It should have been spotted, as should the misplaced grommet.
They really are a daft design as I've yet to find one that fits well.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I'm sure that your dealer would sort this out. Mine did for a front towing eye cover that either fell off within 2 days of collection or (more likely) had been missed out at the factory. Not a big deal and it was replaced straightaway.My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

This is really common at the moment apparently - if you look around you will find lots of fitting faults in that area.
I just spent 15minutes refitting it (and connecting the vent tube on the battery) etc...much better job than the dealers would end up doing. I admit its still not perfect.Mike
