Character's D3 is a textbook example of servicing a car properly will give it a long life. That and pouring the GDP of a small African Nation into it.

It's had an engine change at 478k, i believe there was an issue with the replacement engine so it got changed for another one.

It's had a lot of work but it gets looked after by a very understanding main dealer.

It was an ex HATO car and is now a work car, towing for a living. In loving memory of FA54WSK.

and finally been knocked of top of table although I would add that mine was still on all its original running gear

That's good going 287k on original running gear

Characters is brilliant the original engine lasted a good run

Mines done 110? Had it since July I'll be keeping it long term put about 20k on a year

Just going to get oil pump and cambelt a done

Character is there a thread about your d3 it would be an interesting read

England 2011 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Auto Galway GreenDiscovery 4

Not the highest mileage by a fair way but Papa Zulu (05 HSE) has just cleared 228000. Original just about everything except discs and pads (five sets) and various suspension bits, although the air springs are original. About half the mileage is towing with a lot of it being heavy loads across Europe. The secret ,if there is one, is regular oil changes at 7.5k intervals. This Disco works for a living. Been a Disco driver for fifteen years and have run them all until they have done 250000+. Knocking the mileage up at the rate of a thousand a week at the moment and loving it! Thumbs Up 2011 D4 HSE, it'll be nice if it ever works!
