pull the trigger on the nozzle then put the fuel cap in between as pictures so you can do other stuff ie entertain the baby speak with the wife etc etc

Why is it that the 'Intelligent' lock-on which is available in many countries isn't available in UK?

If you get sick of standing and waiting to get a full tank, you ought to try filling up an LPG tank and it only holds 75 litres.==================================

Truck pumps still have the feature, the lever is still there, but the latch has been removed, have had the pump turned off on me a couple of times when they have sees the cap holding the handle, Elf and Safety same shut off mechanism as the truck pump.

If you want to use the existing catch in the fuel pump handle a pop rivet of the right size fits in neatly in the hole at the back of the handle and replaces the bar that is removed on uk pumps to stop the pump being held on.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

Doesn't it auto shut off now when fully held in (with your had for example)D3 07 SE - still going strong

No, it doesn't. It will still shut off.

Not necessarily. It's the cause of a lot of fires in the US, where when people return to the nozzle and then discharge static electricity onto the nozzle and the spark ignites fuel vapour from the tank. I imagine that it's highly unlikely with diesel, but it certainly works with unleaded!
