Good price LED lights for the house
Just received an order of LED bulbs, they are so much better than just a couple of years ago and its not so bad if the weans leave their lights on all day now, its 16w rather than 200w. Additional 20% off at present

I just upgraded mine in the kitchen from TESCO of all places, buy two get 3rd free I needed 8 so took advantage of the offer ! They are PHILLIPS single LED ones as opposed to the multi ones that are some way cheaper and at 2700 K they are warm white and match the halogen almost perfectly, I was worried that they may be too cold but that temp was spot on.
I replaced another 4 in my outside up & downlighters so I'm hoping my meter is spinning round a tad slower now ?Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I've got 14 down lighters in the kitchen/dining room that are all 50w bulbs. The meter spins round at a frightening pace when they're all on.
I bought some 4w 3 LED warm white bulbs off the famous auction site. I tried them out but they were far too dim for my and more importantly SWMBO liking.

I tried LEDs in the home a few years ago - paid a small fortune for them and they were rubbish.
Recently I was asked by my father if I had tried them.
Hoping things would have moved on he got me to get some for him from the bay. Paid around £25 for 10 and what a shock we had when I had fitted them - you now need sunglasses on when you are in his kitchen. 8)
They are extremely bright but the colour is perhaps not everyone's cup of tea - cool white.
I have since had 4packs in both cool white and warm white

Been thinking about swapping my 50w GU10's with these
Just worried about losing any light output, anyone use them already, the reviews seem quite promising, just don't want to waste £70 odd if they turn out to be not bright enough...

The COB 4.5w ones from LEDHut are amazing, just replaced all of ours with these and if anything they're brighter than the 50W GU10's.
Note if you're using a dimmer you'll need to change it for a trailing edge type to stop flicker, also if you're looking at the low voltage type you'll need different transformers/ drivers for LEDMark

I've just gone for the latest offering from Philips, the GU10 Master in warm white. Whilst a whole range of wattage claims to be the equivalent of 50W these 6W 40 deg coverage LEDs actually appear to be so (my trial of the 4W and 5W were not successful). Not the cheapest at list price but managed to get 10 for £100.
We have 8 x 50W currently illuminating part of the kitchen; as soon as you put them on the warning light on the energy meter comes on. Apart from the kettle and the oven they are the only thing in the house to do so, which is a bit of a worry!Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Need to have a look at getting some of these Led bulbs. SWMBO has taken to replacing all the bulbs in the house with energy saving ones, the result is me having to stand and wait for 5 minutes every time I want something out the cupboard whilst the light bulb warms up

Impressed by the Auraglow COB bulbs from Amazon. If anything brighter than a 50W GU10. Have tried several different led bulbs over the last few years, and these are the first we've been really happy with, for brightness, light colour and appearance. We don't use a dimmer with them though.

Did you purchase these from Tesco ? They sound very much like the ones I have bought, they have a single Cree LED like looking at the one in a LED Lenser torch.
In warm white they are a good match for halogen but the light spread is at a greater angle, it is also more projected and true and not diffused like a halogen ? They were £13 each but every 3rd one was free apparently
