Tow bar wiring

Hello folks,

I was having poke around my new D3 today and came across the wiring for the tow bar electrics behind the LH panel in the boot. I then noticed that it's missing a fuse, as shown below. Does anybody know what this might be for or can point me at a wiring diagram?

Many thanks.

 Darren

You are missing a 7.5 amp fuse. This is probably for the trailer fog lights but you need to double-check the fuse order. Yours looks upside-down with fuse 1 at the bottom and fuse 6 at the top. Either the block is upside-down (no harm in this at all, but it could confuse) or the fuses are all in the wrong place.

The fuse list is in your owner's manual. If you do not have this they are available for free download from Land Rover.

My pleasure.

If you have DMM then it is worth checking for correct continuity between the fuse and the trailer plug pin, just in case there was a fault which prompted the previous owner to remove the fuse.

That's a good point. I'll be converting it to 13 pin at some point, so I'll check it then.

No fault, from memory I never touched the fuses.

Suspect the kit cam from Land Rover like that.

Saying that I have never used the aux socket ever! All it ever was used for was the bike rack. (Hence the low ball)

Hi Matt,

Yeah, I didn't think you'd used it, which was why I thought I'd ask here. I'll have a look for the diagram in the manual.
