Steve, does yours have a remap then?

The live values that interest me at the moment are the 4 solenoid valves on the auto box and the TC lockup status. I don't see much happening on the valves - one or 2 change state occasionally, but can't work out exactly what they are doing!

Will see what mine are doing tomorrow Thumbs Up

Just to put the record straight, I did not attend a local history meeting at the church hall last night. And I don't know who Bernard is. Rolling Eyes

No offence intended to anybody who partakes in such activities. Whistle

So, back on subject Laughing Thumbs Up

Has anybody successfully got any suspension live data to display yet?

So, if I had displayed Barometric Pressure alongside Manifold Input Pressure, you would expect those values to be roughly equal at idle?

Yes, but only at idle. Once RPM increases, the turbo will be able to increase the pressure and the intake pressure will rise.

I'll admit, I done the same Embarassed

Just a pity the live torque reading never reads above 404Nm with any diagnostic kit. That could be interesting Laughing

I suspect that is due to the torque being a calculated value based on revs and throttle etc and taken through a lookup table to give the torque value. Reasonable given the standard design, but not a lot of use if you tune the engine Whistle

Not quite - the reason it clamps out is that the internal torque structure (which is in the more-correct indicated torque domain) has a scalar clamp at 450Nm. The torque that a lot of the diagnostic tools display is flywheel torque, which is calculated from;

Indicated torque (TQI) - Friction torque (TQF) + Inertial torque (TQE) = Flywheel torque (TQ)

TDV6 calibration prior to 2008MY do not have much in the way of TQE, which is a straightforward product of engine moment of inertia and engine speed delta. The way to see this is to rev the engine out of gear - if the TQ figure stays more or less zero, then the TQE figure is balancing out the additional indicated torque TQI to accelerate the engine from idle. Prior to 2008MY, a revved engine will read a positive TQ figure during speed rise, and negative TQ during speed fall (which is inaccurate of the true torque produced at the flywheel).

For TDV6, the friction torque TQF rises to around 45Nm at mid engine speeds, which is the area of engine operation that allows the max indicated torque to hit circa 445Nm. So TQ figures will tend to clamp around 400Nm on diagnostic tools. A good tool will also show TQI, which will clamp around 445Nm.
