Hi Beanie, the badges all arrived safe and sound yesterday!
Thanks fella, much appreciated! Great quality and service... It's better to burn out, than fade away...

Badge arrived safely yesterday beanie, Many Thanks. haven't got round to jabbing at the airbag yet to get the green badge out though
Thanks for the 'heads up'. I'm not home for a quite a while so won't be getting around to fitting the steering wheel badge any time soon.
I'd appreciate it if anyone with a D4 who's trying to fit the badge could maybe take a photo or two of the mis-alignment for interest sake? I must admit I fully expected to be sticking it on anyway and didn't know the badge had prongs until you posted the pictures so it's no big deal. 13 D4 HSE Santorini Black

Had a go at doing mine this morning. My D3 original steering wheel badge had 4 prongs, whereas the black and silver one has 3. I elongated the 2 slots in the plastic airbag cover at the top slightly, and carefully cut 1 slot for the lower central prong. There was already some double sided adhesive tape on the back of the badge, just peel off the backing for that obviously, no real need for any extra adhesive.

Are these prongs bent over on the back when originally fitted? If so how are the replacements pushed in?

Yes, and they have a wider section at the end of each prong, you cannot re produce this with the new badge, the shorter parallel prongs just locate it really, and the d/ sided tape holds it there, so no it is not as secure as original. I doubt that you can access the rear to bend the tabs over tbh, ( I didn't remove airbag assy to check this though).
