Poly bushes

What's the latest thinking on the use of polyurethane suspension bushes. Just looking at the lrm mag and it seems they have three types. If I remember rightly there was complaints of a harsh ride before.

Bushes are there as a sacrificial component. Replacing them with something which is harder/less shock absorbant will not only make the ride less comfortable but will also result in the stresses being transferred elsewhere on the car. I changed my previous Defender to Polybush and, less than a year later, changed back to bog standard.
 Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
Previously:
TD5 Defender 110 CSW (230k miles)
300TDi Disco 1 (289k)
4 RR Classics (300-350k each, 2 manual, 2 auto)
110 V8 CSW (220k)
S3 109 hi cap pickup (ex RN)
S2A 88 Safari SW with lpg conversion (bloody lethal)

Is it just the bushes or entire RRS arms , that you have changed?

I am also debating on what to put instead of OEMs, but really wonted to know which MY RRS arms will fit a 2005 lr3 and is it that front only or other arms will fit too?

I have fitted front lower bushes from advanced factors, they are genuine RRS OEM bushes, it takes about 30/45 mins to change the bushes once the arms are out, they do the complete RRS arms that are a direct replacement that are also fitted on the D3 armoured version. I can't recommend them enough they have transformed the handling with no loss in comfort- advanced factors aren't bad either Thumbs Up
2005-2009 RRS arms or bushes will fit on the front, don't know about the rear.
I put the bushes in the freezer for 30 mins and the arms on the hot plate for 10 mins and they just pushed in Thumbs Up

I am very happy with my Superpro bushes. Really improved the feel of the car on the road.

If I'm correct in assuming your car is pretty standard with air suspension (not coils) then I'd suggest this basic kit...

https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/kit630-h...7241-p.asp

But you can also get the slightly more expensive Meyle kit

https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/kit630m-...6314-p.asp

Both have a four year warranty and are available with the forum discount code AF4LRP
