Removing grill off D4, is there a knack to it?
I was looking at upgrading the bulbs in my dads D4
The manual shows the 4 catches at the top and says to gentle pull away from the body and these come out easy enough
But this seems stuck fast at the bottom, is there any more clips, i think there was on a D3 or better direction to pull in
Don't want to pull too hard and snap it

There's no clips at the bottom of a D4 grille, you just pull hard and fast. The things on the bottom are plastic locating pins.

No, once you disconnect the top clips, put your fingers through the grille near the bottom locating pins and pull towards you. They are a straight fit. It will be a bit tight and hard to pull away fist time round.
If you break it, I've a spare Ill flog you.

Outwards at either side at the bottom
Had loads of practice swapping the lights over going to france
Put your fingers in the bottom corner holes and pull out wards, 1 side at a time. There are no metal clips to ping off, so as long as you pull outwards you won't break anything. With the top clips released you can see down behind the grille, and just make out where the bottom locating mounts are located.Previously:
