Evening all,
Not sure if coincidence or not?
But have never noticed my FBH (fuel burning heater) working before this morning. Had cold conditions this winter (in between the rain) and had the bonnet opened and the FBH was stone cold!
Anyway just had the car in recently to get a new suspension compressor fitted with codes all cleared etc..and noticed after a very short trip to parents (1.5 miles) & there was a burny smell from under the bonnet, so upon investigation, the above FBH was quite cosy! And after few mins after shutdown it stopped
Any connections between these 2 items??
Any help would be appreciated
James

No connection between suspension and fuel burning heater.... BUT...
If all faults were cleared, then any FBH faults were cleared. The FBH locks itself out after 3 failed start attemps and logs a fault code. To "unlock" it, you need to clear the faults
So in all probability, your FBH was locked out, and clearing all faults unlocked it and it worked again. Dennis
