EGR Emulator
I see the egr emulators are available now so to be able to blank off the egr on post 2007 motors . Might be a dumb question but can another EGR be used to connect to the icu egr plug instead of an emulator ??? .

No, because the PCM is looking for a drop in airflow when the EGR valve is open. The emulator prevents the PCM looking for said airflow changes My D3 Build Thread

If EGR's are blanked - how air flow drop occurs? PCM is looking for air flow drop only in Euro4 models.
P.S. Oh, post 2007 Sorry

When the EGR's are open, the butterfly closes, so the engine sucks the exhaust gas out of the engine. As part of EU4 regulations, if this drop in airflow does not occur, then the EML must come on...My D3 Build Thread
