Faultmate Hight add.easy way help needed
Hi Gang.
I am a proud owner of the Faultmate MSV2 for a few years now, used it many times for a various things and fixes, but...
...never had a need or courage to fiddle with suspension.I feel now that i go more off road with friends of mine, many times I am in need of grater speed that 25mph in off road hight or just simply more lift for a few minutes to go over a ledge that requires more then 50mm lift. i could obviously induce extended hight with piece of wood placed underneath the chassis , but why should I not use a Faultmate to help me with just that.
I would like to know , how to program a few new settings with now off road hight and have it saved on the computer, so i could upload them on the trail run.
How do you do it?
I really need guidance STEP BY STEP sort of procedure.
You can PM me if it is not allow to post such guidances on the forum, due to liability of sorts...
Thanks very much..

WOW,,knowing, that many of forum members operate with Faultmate on regular basis, I immediately assumed that somebody would help me out with this.
It is hard to believe that nobody uses an extra set of hight settings stored on VE, so it can be uploaded before one hits the trails., easy way...

I am surprised with the response so far, but you can have another bump from this IID Tool user.
Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
What you need to do is save some different settings for higher off road heights with each file named ie: plus 5 mm or plus 10mm extension.
Start off by first saving your original heights as your datum point. Then add 5mm to the measured height at all four corners and then write this file to the eas ecu, you can do this while driving the car if you want to, once you have a couple of file sets and your finished playing, then just write your normal ride height file back to the car.
If you want to do it the quick way then use two jacks to jack the car up to the desired heights you want, read these settings then store the settings by saving them. remove all jacks and let the car settle move the toggle switch up to off road and back down to access height, then back to standard. Then write your new settings to the car and your new heights should be set, cycle the suspension and see if its gone up by your adjustments.

Thanks!!
Can I put my car in off road mode, write actual values, than lower the car to normal on road , write saved off road values as normal settings ?Normal height should theoretically become an off road hight, right?
And why under settings there are READ, WRITE,STORE and LOAD settings.?
You can do that way if you want to, but you cant overide the speed limit set to lower the suspension when you go over 30mph.. I wouldnot advise doing this as your on the top end, I would set it slightly lower.

So, if I go under Settings, then Heights, I should click STORE the current settings, right?
Then , to adjust settings I should REDUCE all calibration Values to achieve LIFT?
p.e. for 10mm lift , reduce all calibration values by 20?If so , click STORE and WRITE these new settings ?
apologize for so many Q, but this is new to me, so...Can't afford any mistakes..
I wish somebody would do a short instructional video on YOUTUBE..

Yes that's correct, as long as you have saved the default settings then your fine.

Appreciate your help.
Now..if I want to go back to the original, saved settings, should I press LOAD or WRITE .These sound similar command wise to me..
I have done many things with Faultmate, but not this, yet..
Anybody up to a constructing a friendly YOUTUBE video ?
I don't know ...this operation seems a lot quicker and easier on IID tool from what I hear ...

You LOAD the values from the file you saved on disk and then you WRITE them into cars ecu.2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
