I have a full set of 19" Nexens on mine which come with the car, can't say I have had any problems with them at all, but like it's been said they are road only tyres and I don't think they would be a lot of good in snow let alone off road so when they are needing replacing I will be taking the short journey up to our friends at AJS for some general grabber AT,s.?

RAW, you are exactly the man I was hoping for ..... Thanks for that! Depending on the cost I think I'll give the Nexens a bash...

I think you may have misread his post,I read it as he is saying he's got ATs and is happy with them not Nexens.

Thumbs Up I am happy with my GG AT's would not fit Nexans again they we're put on by main JLR dealer I bought it from. If I had noticed when I collected the car I would have paid the difference for a better tyre

Fit the best, it's the only thing keeping you out of trouble. Anything cheap is liable to be a chinky ditch seeker, never ever skimp on tyres or brakes. IMHO

Cooper LTZ come in 19 inch now, good on price, about £150 to £160, and have been very happy with mine both on and off road.

Wife had some Nexens on her car, lasted well, cheap but in wet and icy conditions were not that great.

funnily enough saw a year old FFRR yesterday with these fitted, wondered why someone would spend that money on a car then shod it with the cheapest tyres going

I got rid of a set of Nexens with 7mm still on the tyres, having come with the vehicle.
I don't think cheap is necessarily bad. I had good results from some Champiros and even better results with Barum.
In fact the very worst tyres I've had are Pirelli P6000 which the tyre guys around here refer to as ditchfinders. Awful, awful tyres.
