| Went tire shopping... Ughhh, some people's kids. |

So, I went shopping for new rubber the other day, my 18" Wrangler HP's are useless, and my 19" Nokians are shot. So, figured that hopefully Spring will be here soon... And new tires are the first order of business.
Stopped in at one place, because I heard they'd be the cheapest around. They were actually, they had lots of used tires in very good condition, but none in my size. They did have some 255/50-19's which the owner insisted was the factory size for my car.
But when I said they were the wrong size and I wanted new ones anyway, he immediately started looking up the price for new 22" rims and tires... Told me that that is exactly what I need for my car. I think I offended him by telling him how stupid it would look on my car 
The guy just wouldn't listen to what I was asking, and kept pushing his own ideas on me.
On the plus side, I did find another shop that can sell me the 255/55-19" Cooper Zeon's for $280 Canadian. I think that's the best deal I've heard so far.

That kinda sounds familiar, similar customer service over here, thought you would have inherited US style service. Displaced Yorkshireman.

I don't know if I'd want US style service
It's unfortunate, if I could have gotten through to him about what I wanted, he could have gotten a sale out of it. On the plus side, even though he didn't have what I'm looking for, it gave me the idea to look in another similar shop for some take off rims. 2 complete sets of 18's would be nice.
