Well I finally did get "my" D3 on Tuesday evening.
And yes it is a lovely drive ......... BUT .....
I noticed at the dealers that at least one of the options wasnt on the vehicle .. they indicated that it would be put on for me when the part came in.
However on further investigation it appears that NONE of the options are on the vehicle including the rear diff ( a factory only option).
Somebody has severly up. The dealer is saying that it is LR australia. I am currently waiting on a response from them whilst I enjoy someone else's car.
woe is me ......

Not good
I hope you refused to accept the vehicle and have a loaner.

NOT if you accepted it in good faith.
So remind me how to confirm that the active diff is there (I think I remember that you can see the activator in the rear wheel arch? is that right?). regards
Peter

I hope you have the wrong vehicle and yours is in oz, as the auto diff is great and cannot be retro fitted and it's a long wait bfor a new.
Ask for a corporate loan (LRA have some loan vehicles for corporarte clients, I had one for a couple of weeks before delivery of mine) until it comes in, unless they are prepared to swap this one when the right one arrives.
It's on top of the diff housing.
Here are some links, but sounds like they know it is not there.

Stand your ground. Failure to provide the options is a Trade Practices issue and a breach of contract. Demand that they re-order and provide a loan vehicle at their expense.
Dealer problem as far as you're concerned. If they have an issue with LR, then that's theire problem not yours!
I won't wish you good luck because that has nothing to do with it. You have right, statute law and common law on your side! (and us of course!) Have a nice day!

mtb if the dealer knew these options are missing he needs R ing in different spots hard & vigorous.
I would doubt with the pre-inspection they put the vehicles through that they didn't notice the missing options.
They are playing You for a fool. F k 'em go for their jugular, with a blunt, rusty razor blade. I, personally, would even go as far as informing My solicitor of the situation & get Him ready for battle.
Time to name and shame the dealer Me thinks. Either for their inept pre-del inspection or for taking their customers as a fools. .
If you want I can give You a lone of one of my nice "hammers". They have lovely leather handles, a flat end and an exceptionally sharp point at the other end. Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.

whoooooo hooooooo. Picked it up today and couldn't be happier. I thought the tint was a bit too light and wanted to arrange to get it darkened but once I put the window sox on I'm glad it is a bit light as I wouldn't be able to see out of the rear windows if it was dark. Might darken the front ones though - can this be done anyone know. Diesel is amazingly quite - used to have an old peugeot sounded and felt like I was at the dentist the whole time. I did notice that there seems to be quite a bit of lag from putting my foot down to when the car actually takes off - a bit annoying on the drive home cars keep cutting in. Is this a diesel thing or a v6 thing. I used to have a gas guzzling petrol v8. Managed to get into the garage without having to lower or fold in the mirrors but I sure miss the electric fold in mirrors

How are things going with the dealer?
What have they decided to do? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
