Hi Steve,
We have been working on a lot of the "behind the scenes" functionality of the Nanocom, including menu structures, layout and functionality to enhance the new dynamic menus, reworked some of the apps etc, so there's not much that would appear changed if we were to release just yet. Were planning on adding some new end-user functionality before the official release but I'm weary of giving a time-frame....

Seriously though, The implimentation of CAN BUS coverage and functionality we are introducing on the Nanocom Evolution has never been about just adding more visable stuff.
It has always been about making the system more self intelligent and easier to use.
Right now, just as Chris states, there is really nothing that would appear changed, but behind the scenes, everything is being drastically reworked that will ultimately be worth every minute spent as it will make expanding and adding functionality much quicker and smoother

As Chris states, we have of couple of technical staff who have been working soley and near constantly on the next MSV-2 software upgrade for quite some time and they are now getting very close and it is expected to be released, even if only in Beta Test form, before we are ready with our next Nanocom upgrade.
The problem is that with our later upgrades adding such a huge amount of additional functionality this produced some major problems in the sytems core handling, like version controlling etc.
That's why some of the later upgrades had silly problems that really did not reflect very well on us.
So we have decided that the best way to get back on track, is to go back to the basics and rework the core elements as well as fully and exhaustively checking and testing all the newer functionality that has been added. Sadly of course this has taken quite a while and has been testing everyones patience, especially mine.

While when reading about our progress to date, it may well seem that we have forgotten about adding the Freelander 2 to the CAN BUS coverage on the Nanocom Evolution and working on other un related aspects. However in reality nothing could be further from the truth.
Having already produced software for the MSV-2 etc that pretty much covers most CAN BUS vehicles Land Rover have produced to date, we already have a unique understanding and vast experience with the subtke variences between different vehicles.
In recently attempting to expand the CAN BUS coverage we have developed, which is by design being developed as functionality rather than model based, to include the Puma Defender, and thinking ahead to our inlcluding more vehicles like the Freelander 2 etc, we realised that we needed to add more self intelligence and flexibility in the existing system.
So while we may well have not yet specifically added the FL2, our work to date is very much in preparation for adding FL2 and many other newer and future Models.
In short, as I have attempted to explain, With the Nanocom Evolution we are not developing just another per model diagnostic system for current Land Rover vehicles, but something that is radically different, with a degree of self intelligence never seen before, that is really easy to use and flexible enough to easily keep pace with the Vehicles Land Rover introduce.
