Front Fogs

I replaced the fuse which was snapped. Fogs worked for only 10mins before the new fuse snapped! It's a 15amp. What could be causing this? Should I put a 20amp in?

Thanks.

It's a common problem with the wire chaffing on the end of the bumper

Pull off the passenger fog light surround .. Undo a few screws , remove the fog light and you should be able to see he offending wiring.

Tape up and refit fuse

The bezel just pulls out of the bumper. There's a little gap at the inside top of the bezel you can get your finger in to pull it. It's held in place by about 5 metal spring clips.

The fog light is then held in by 3 x torx (T20) screws. Remove those and it will come out. Take care not to lose the torx screws down inside the bumper! The fourth, cross head screw, is for adjusting the levelling of the fog light. No need to touch this one.

Spoke to soon..... Crying or Very sad

Drive car this morning, after 5mins of having the front fogs on POP!

God knows why it's still doing it, I can only assume another wire deeper down is faulty. All my other lights are fine.

All sorted, both wiring looms were shot!

New looms now replaced, working fogs again.

Thumbs Up
