RR Sport wheels for my D3.
Morning all, relatively new member and loving it. I have just purchased a set of range rover sport wheels with general grabber 255 x 55 x 19 AT from that great market place in the sky. I am hoping they fit straight on my D3 HSE 2005 without any spacers/adapters. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I have looked at other posts on here and seen the photos but there is no mention of alterations.

Make sure the rrs alloys are the right load rating for the d3. Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

Hi, the wheels look the same as the black D3. Am going to try to upload a photo. Thanks for your assistance.

I had to put 3mm spacers on the front wheels as they caught the brake drums only slightly.Jeff

Bought from the web, not sure now but they were German TUV approved in black metal. Exchanged car shortly after so passed them on to a forum member.Jeff

Jeff - are you taking about those RRS alloys pictured, as those go straight on a D3 without spacers.
A D4 might need spacers due to larger brake calipers.
Those wheels will be weight rated at 900kg.

Fit like a glove.
They also clear the brembo brakes as well.

Will be well happy if they do go straight on without spacers or mods. I can then sell my original alloys and tyres. Thanks for the info.

Didn't need spacers with mine, i have done 6k with them fitted. No issues with them.
I'm not 100% sold on them sadly, so will be changing back to HSE wheels in the summer and selling them on.In loving memory of FA54WSK.

What don't you like about them ?
I have just bought them because they have a set of nearly new GG AT 's. My GG are due for renewal soon and at £700 for a set that's what I paid for the new wheels and tyres.

I don't actually know.
I really like the 6 spoke HSE wheels but mine were totally shot and needing refurbed but didn't have the time to do that. I picked up my wheels for a bargain and they came with RRS tyres and 2 spares, so sold the spares on which covered the cost of buying the wheels and the tyre swap. In loving memory of FA54WSK.

This rims look very good on D3!
But, they are 9J and I think it's a bit too wide for 255/55 tyres.
The perfect wide for 255/55 tyres is 8J, like standard D3 rimsD3 TDV6, Zermatt Silver, Coil Spring Suspension, Tyres 285/55 R 18
D4 TDV6, Santorini Black, Coil Spring Suspension, Tyres 285/45 R 20
