looks like my turbo needs ripping out and either replacing or cleaning, my local garage reckons he has to take the body off, is this correct???
does anybody know of any landrover indy's in west yorkshire that could change the turbo without taking body off,

Body does not have to come off
Allow 6-8 hours, depending on seized nuts/bolts etc
And A/F is the cheapest place you will find a brand new turbo. Not worth buying a re-con one, as the actuator cannot be re-calibrated by anyone, other than ZF/Borg Warner, who supply the turbo's
That said, if it's only a seized actuator rod, this can be lubricated, and freed off. Well worth a try before splashing out on a new turbo My D3 Build Thread
