looks like my turbo needs ripping out and either replacing or cleaning, my local garage reckons he has to take the body off, is this correct???
does anybody know of any landrover indy's in west yorkshire that could change the turbo without taking body off,

Don't bother with an exchange or reconditioned turbo - buy new from forum sponsors Advanced Factors:-

I'll leave someone more local to recommend an Indy.

Body does not have to come off Thumbs Up

Allow 6-8 hours, depending on seized nuts/bolts etc Thumbs Up

And A/F is the cheapest place you will find a brand new turbo. Not worth buying a re-con one, as the actuator cannot be re-calibrated by anyone, other than ZF/Borg Warner, who supply the turbo's Thumbs Up

That said, if it's only a seized actuator rod, this can be lubricated, and freed off. Well worth a try before splashing out on a new turbo
