disc regrind ?
Does anybody do this anymore?
Only asking as yesterday I put a new set of discs on the front of the D4, as in my opinion the ones that were one had a high spot, which gave both a pulsing sensation when coming to a stop, and also a slight steering shake under gentle high speed braking.
So the discs I took off look relatively new with no real lip on them, so I'm thinking they were fitted by the previous owner not too long before he part ex'd it. It seems a shame to dump them, if a regrind would bring them back to life, but also, would need to make economic sense.
Just a thought.

Now gone - MY16 D4 SE Tech, Loire Blue, Almond Leather, Privacy, plus some other goodies.
Old - MY12 D4 SDV6 XS Auto - Ipanema Sand with Almond Leather - Plus other niceties, and D4.com sticker
Older - D3 TDV6 XS Auto - Lugano Teal with Almond Leather, 20" Stormers, Shiny Tailpipes, DVD/TV - and obligatory D3 sticker
Ancient - D3 TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony, 20" Stormers, satnav & DVD
It used to be done a lot a few years ago, but the price of new disc's now nobody seems to have it done, if they are not to bad get it done and keep for next time..

In the days of cheap labor and expensive discs it made sense and was very common, but pretty rare now.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Cheers guys - yes, it seems to be quite rare these days - I might just have a look in my local area to see if anybody still does it, and at what costs, otherwise looks like the scarp man. Just seems to be a shame for what look like fairly new discs.

check the overall depth to confirm worth saving...
