Rev counter not reading right or is it
Been out in car last night and at low speeds and around 50 mph on and off cruise and I don't know whether this is the rev counter or the engine doing this
But the rev counter will not stay in one place on cruise at 50 the rev counter seats at 1600 then pops up to 1800 drop to 1500 its like it all the time up down up down but if you cruise at 70 on cruise 2000 rpm bang on no movement
Any ideas.Remote time climate

If so it could be the torque converter is not fully locked up?
If it is stable at 2000rpm, then it is probably nothing to worry about.Mark.

Sounds like the torque converter is not locking up properly at lower revs, you may benefit from a gearbox flush, or possibly a dose of Dr Tranny.
2000 RPM at 70 MPH is right so the rev counter will be reading correctly.Clive
Worth talking to Geoff. - who could if necessary do a gearbox flush for you, and is fairly local to you.

Had the same problem, it is the lock-up plate. Dr. Tranny fixed it!
