Anyone ever changed the dashboard trim? Think its ontop....

The HSE I bought has a walnut dash im not keen on, however it looks to be put ontop of the existing dash not as a replacement, anyone ever come across this, I presume if I take it off ill have tape residue on the dash etc.

Its like some dash trim kit, not a replacement as such.

Anyone know anything about these?

Thanks

I think you will find that's the first version of the wood trim that came out. Its a very thin veneer that is stuck on using double sided tape. It should come off OK if you heat it with a hair drier as that will soften the adhesive. The sticky reside will come of with some white spirit.

Yes Thumbs Up

Sticky stuff remover or WD40 will remove any adhesive and is kinder to the plastic than white spirit Smile
