Dashboard squeaks

Dashboard squeaks

I have a new d4 done 5k and seem to be getting dashboard sqeaks, is anybody else getting this and what's the cure !

Australia 2011 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 SE Auto Ipanema SandDiscovery 4

I had a rattle which required the dealer to remove the dash to resolve. Problem was that when put back together the dash squeaked. Any bumps or undulations caused the dash to squeak like a cage full of parrots. The dealer’s subsequent attempts which included multiple visits and eventually replacing several dash and console trim panels was only partially successful. The noise was particularly bad on warm days and was spoiling my enjoyment driving the D4. I experimented and found that inserting business cards into the joints between the trim panels joining the front and rear parts of the console; the squeaks were gone. Since the business card look wasn’t my taste I replaced the cards with some felt contact which I pushed into the joint so that it wasn’t showing and since then no more squeaky dash.
