Land Rover loyalty discount

Just wondering if the loyalty discount is still available for older vehicles?

Interesting. I asked today at T.H. White and was told it had been discontinued.

You must of heard them wrong, seems I also have hearing problems when in TH Whites, you have to read between the lines Whistle

They probably said we would like it to be discontinued Whistle

Still on Landrover website and a couple of scotish dealers still advertising it.

Have come to the conclusion to many well off shooting types in Wiltshire, just pay never ask, and the Landrover dealers in Wiltshire cannot be bothered unless you pay over the odds.

It appears to be up to the individual dealer if they want to participate, it has to be asked for, and then it's up to the guy on the parts desk that day to decide if his grans cat would like you.

I work on the principle that they can only say no, but only ask after they've told me the price.
Strangely those who give it take it off then, and don't say it's already been deducted.

Guy Salmon in Portsmouth have given me discount on some occasions but not on others.
It has varied between 10 and 15%.

The Southampton dealer(Can't remember their name) was quite happy to give me 12% when I needed a new Alternator, which made it worth the diesel to travel.

The guys in Sussex(Harwoods??) have said No every time I've asked on the phone.

I've also noticed that at Guy Salmon I'm far more likely to get the discount if I ask for it at the desk when I'm wearing my branded work shirt than when I'm 'Smart casual' or in Jeans and a 'T' Shirt.
This ploy works at lots of trade counters by the way, even when the company who's shirt you're wearing has no account and no reason to be buying what you're buying. For example, the guy at Cromwell Portsmouth is a completely different bloke if you look like you work for a living.

Nasher.
Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.
