Engine warning light with no exclamation mark |
|
Have just come off the motorway after a good 200 mile run and have just had the dreaded engine block symbol come up'
There was an exclamation mark within it, or any message or power loss? I have managed to clear it with multiple starts and have done 40 miles since with no repeat... Any ideas chaps, or anyone local to Stockport that could read the fault?

Thanks Mikey had wondered if that could be the issue.
Got a 200 mike drive home tomorrow so hoping it will be ok?
What sort of money for diagnosis and replacement assuming it's only one and is the egr?

Can you remember roughly how much they charged you?
I've found a company on eBay near York offering EGR blanking for 07 onwards and a remap for £350

I had same problem serveral weeks ago, I t was EGRs valve as Disco_ Mikey says, I bought a blamking kit, but when it arrived, light turned off until today, now It works fine. I remember having driven over 300 miles and then light turned off.
I have not yet installed the kit, but I will do it, I don´t want to replace for the third time a set of EGRs valves

Hi Farmerboy,
All cars can be done providing someone has written the right software... This guy is a member on here (Land Rover specialist from York)
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/member-landr...ir_uk.html
It looks like they were offering the service for Disco3 members for £275 at one point too, after having trawled through his posts! Seems like a bargain to me if it includes a remap!? I wonder if he'll still honour this price?

Well given my bank balance is still having mouth to mouth following the Xmas abuse I still haven't managed to get the car looked at.
As it stands light comes on nearly every day now (but clears after 10 restarts)... I've read the code using my Garmin HD Ecoroute and it comes up with PO405.
Is this conclusive with your EGR assumptions chaps?

P0405, often paired with P1335 = RH EGR failed
I have the same problem
At least its stuck closed so minimal performance effect.

Yeah I've not experienced the car going into limp mode or any noticeable drop in performance, just the annoying EML light.
