2012 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Orkney Grey

Double ATF flush, is it worth it?

My TDV6 auto has now done 130k miles and because it's getting a little jerky I'm talking to my local indie about a double flush and filter change. Seeing as the gearbox oil is supposed to be sealed for life, is it really worth it? If you've had it done, does the 'box work any better?

yes it will, try geoff. site sponsor for a transmission flush, although at the mileage, you should also be looking to having the filter changed as well.

Thanks, it has a tendency to shunt from second into first when slowing up for junctions and shudders slightly when accelerating up hill. Been slowly getting worse over the past 40k miles.

For what it costs, sounds like it's worth doing at this mileage with these symptoms?

Done quite a few flushes now and only ever changed 2 filters and both them were clean and both over 100k
