IID Tool and AMK Suspension Compressor
I have just had compressor failure so fitted a new one which turns out to be the new AMK version. I am currently stuck in normal ride height only with non of the special programmes available and limp mode operating. From my research it appears that the IID tool allows you to reprogramme the suspension ECU for the new compressor so i have ordered one which should be with me this week. Can anyone give me an idiots guide of how to do this. I know that this is not the ideal way to learn to use the IID but i am stuck without the vehicle at the moment and need to get it fixed this week if possible. I have also ordered a CTEK battery conditioner to ensure that the voltage doesn't drop during programming

The original compressor failure was diagnosed by my local independant. I have fitted the new compressor and now have these faults so putting two and two together i am assuming it is not fully recognising the new compressor. My local indy can not do it until after next week hence the ordering of the IID. I am keen to learn the electronic side of the D3 as all of my experience over the last six years of Land Rover ownership has been on 300 tdi engines in Disco 1 and Defenders. I have only had the car two weeks so this is still unknown territory to me.

i do hope the soft update will make a difference
the new compressor however should work as is (unless your EAS software is indeed older than coal)

I have changed the relay for the new one in the kit. The compressor is working allbeit slowly and apparently not through the full range. My local independant have confirmed that they have come across this before with the AMK and also confirmed that the software update should fix it so all i need is an idea of how to go about it with the IID tool which should be arriving today with any luck.
Goto the flash ecu section, find the ecu and make sure you select the correct compressor - it takes about 30seconds to do, so unless your battery is really knackered you shouldn't need to support it with a charger.Mark.
