I have managed to arrange for the Discovery 3 in the Mainland UK free delivery of the set of the 3 intercooler hoses in high grade silicone from Allisport for the forum at £93 delivered.
Overseas are welcome but will have to cover the shipping cost to the address registered via payment method.
so here is the option BLACK in colour or a nice BLUE set.
here is a Sample photo of the Allisport hoses he manufactures, he does other models as well so just ask and maybe able to help

Excuse the non techie question, but other than the fact that the OEM hoses are liable to failure, is there any advantage to these hoses, such as better performance etc over a "non failed" OEM hose

The silicon hose is made up of several layers of silicone and mesh fabric, bonded together with tape and finally cured in an oven. It is of a stronger construction able to take greater pressures and higher temps with out distortion, it will also not deteriorate the same way rubber does.

Replacing a "non-failed" OEM hose with a silicone one, means you should never suffer having burst turbo hose again
Some people say they swell up less under pressure, giving better throttle response, but I can't see it making that much of a difference, personally My D3 Build Thread

If I had replaced my intercooler hoses for silicone replacements my D3 wouldn't be sitting at the door waiting on one coming, with a big rip in the standard rubber hose.

I really should consider these..don't fancy towing a 3.5. Ton boat and trailer with a burst intercooler hose ever again.. The smoke screen was incredible though!
